11/20/2008 - Rome, Italy (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - AS Roma has dismissed reports which suggested they could lose both Mirko Vucinic and Alberto Aquilani during the January transfer window.
Montenegro international striker Vucinic has been linked with a $15 million move to Real Madrid, while Italy midfielder Aquilani is reported to be a transfer target of Juventus.
However, the Rome club's general director, Daniele Prade, is adamant that both players will remain at the Stadio Olimpico.
"First of all, Roma will not sell Vucinic and second Real Madrid have never asked for him," he claimed. "I have also spoken to [Madrid sporting director] Pedrag Mijatovic and nothing is true. Vucinic is a Roma player and he will remain so.
"Aquilani? We are talking with him regarding a new deal. His current contract expires in 2010. I have spoken to the player and his agent and we are satisfied with the situation so far. We are convinced we will find the right solution."

Pete Carroll's troops only play three ranked teams in 2008, and all of those games are at home. After what should be an easy trip to Virginia to start things off on Aug. 30, the Trojans get two weeks to prepare for Ohio State in Los Angeles. On paper, the Trojans are far superior, but motivation will be high for the Irish and Bruins, especially if their historic foes are in national-title contention.

If the Bulldogs are to live up to expectations, they'll need a huge effort from their sophomore running back. This might be the last year of college ball for Moreno, who rushed for 1,334 yards and for 14 touchdowns as a freshman, while adding 253 receiving yards on 20 receptions, so expect big things for the man from Belford, N.J.
